How to Be Kinkier, by Morpheous

Perfect timing! I just posted the 100 Killer Kinks List, and the author of this fine book, Morpheous, will be in St. Louis this weekend, giving demos. (Check the SEX+STL calendar for details.)

The book is a follow-up to his previous title, How to be Kinky: A Beginner’s Guide to BDSM, which you can check out from the Shameless Grounds library (note! Shameless will be closed this weekend). Now, he is ready to cover new ground:

How to Be Kinkier: More Adventures in Adult Playtime, by Green Candy Press.

Green Candy Press is an awesome publisher in Canada that specializes in counter-culture topics that appeal to gaywads, potheads, and freakshows like me! Seriously, if you look at their website navigation, it is as follows:

Drugs  –  S&M –  Gay  –  Art  –  Fun!

Will there be a third book in the “Kinky” series – How to Be Kinkiest? One can dream…

I have to say, this new edition blows the original in the series out of the water. I’m amazed the publisher was able to spring for full-color this round. It makes a world of difference!

They couldn’t have picked a better cover photo. That woman is so incredibly captivating, she is COMMANDING that you buy this book. I can’t stop staring at her arm muscles, cleavage, and sexy gaze.

Honestly, the photographs are worth the price of the book alone. They could have filled in all the blanks with:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat. Ut wisi enim ad minim veniam, quis

and be just fine, but instead Morpheous has served up another generous serving of kinky guidance. There’s an intro by Nina Hartley, and there are even little Fortune Cookie words of wisdom on the sidebars, such as: Know who you are playing with. Word.

This bonus round includes topics such as “BDSM Play and Polyamorous Relationships,” Advanced Sex Toys and Bondage Gear,” and “Becoming a Pro.”

But let’s go back to the pictures. Full nudity! Something for everyone! Sub men, sub men, gay, het, awesome kinks, dazzling dress up. They are bold, extreme, and super playful. The diverse models all look like they’re having so much fun! One of my least favorite scenes is the one of the woman all trussed up in balloons. I hate balloons!

I hate balloons, but I have to admit this is pretty clever. Photo by Morpehous

My fav pic is the one with this caption: “A D/s or M/s relationship is based on trust and caring.” There’s some incredible yin and yang playing in this image…

Tender image of M/s dynamic, photo by Morpheous

I wonder if that is Morpheous posing with the submissive babydoll! 😉 He’s so mysteriously elusive, always lurking behind the lens of the camera.

There’s at least one model from St. Louis in the book – can you spot her? Hint: she’s wearing

You can find a copy of How to Be Kinkier: More Adventures in Adult Playtime in the library at Shameless Grounds.

People with pussies and dicks alike will love this book!

I just reread Scarlet Letter & it was so good and bad & relevant. Fascinating perspective of female energy & being punished & judged.
