My Costume at the Naked Masquerade
By Kendra Holliday | July 2, 2012 at 5:57 am
This weekend, Sex Positive St. Louis hosted a clothing optional masquerade. It was a fine soiree in an ultra-swanky private location, with over 50 people in attendance wearing awesome costumes and masks. It didn’t turn out the way I planned (one of my dates got shit-faced drunk and turned into a douchebag), but my costume turned out great!
Here it is, with lingerie:
Here it is, sans lingerie:
The good news is my other date was a total gentleman, and it was his first time being naked around a bunch of people! He’s been working out with a personal trainer and was excited for an opportunity to show off his body – he’s lost 110 lbs!
As for myself, I felt great – I feel more comfortable without clothes on, especially in this brutal heat!

Way to go! You look fabulous in both versions of your costume. And you are absolutely right: clothing — all clothing — makes no sense whatever in high heat conditions (unless we’re talking about when you are fighting fire). More’s the pity you can’t go about your entire day wandering about downtown St. Louis in the sweltering heat free of the agony of clothes.

You looked beautiful Kendra! Had I known your friend had lost 110 lbs I would have high fived him. That’s awesome! I’ve been all exited that I lost 16lbs since I went vegetarian…I can only imagine his feelings…I had so much fun meeting new sexy people and seeing everyone…I can’t wait for the next naked shindig…See you at the world naked bike ride!

Thanks Kevin! Yep I’ll be around for WNBR, and I really hope we can have a clothing optional pool party before summer’s end!

Thanks again for another amazing event! I had a great time and I met some wonderful new people. These events get better with every iteration, and the venue was wonderful! It was like something out of a superhero movie lol maybe that’s just my inner nerd talking, but I digress thanks again, I eagerly await the next one! Now I’m off to prepare for the Bubblewrap & Tequila party next weekend!

OMG, as a black woman I am totally embarrassed by the way this asshole treated you. I feel like I should apologize. *sigh*
Kendra Holliday 2012-07-03 08:50:41
No need to apologize! Though it can be noted that both my dates were black – the gentleman was African American and the douchebag was African.

I am saddened to hear that one of your dates turned out to be a douchebag. It certainly is a great thing that your second date turned out significantly better. It sounds like you had a wonderful time despite the way the one guy behaved himself. When a friend of mine and myself start up such events, his behavior is something we definitely are trying to avoid for those that attend.

The co-founders of SEX+STL will meet to discuss what we learned from this party and how to prevent any weird vibes in the future. Learn and move forward!
One simple thing to change: Don’t serve drinks in red solo cups, get smaller clear cups instead. That way people don’t chug as much liquor so fast.

I don’t get how it doesn’t thoroughly disgust you to dally with blacks. I’m not trying to be rude or to impose my beliefs on anyone, but that just kind of turns my stomach.

I embrace diversity- I’m not afraid of people who are different than me.

I don’t own a bicycle so running naked and/or near naked will be my best option
And as I posted on facebook, thank you for hosting. I hope to attend more parties.
