My friend wrote this romantical poem, and I BEGGED him to let me share it with you!
Without further ado –
the places we have made love
are points of light on the dark earth.
from above they are scattered
across the continent clustered
some along the east coast in old new england homes
a few tossed along the sides of the interstate
between here and there
a bright pool of white light in Minneapolis
a few out West
and a small, lonely flickering high in a mountain meadow
up in the Canadian Rockies.
If I were a sailor I would follow these stars
finding them to be the best and most reliable,
for everywhere we go, you and I, we leave light
faint brushes of it where our hearts beat in love
dots where we have kissed and touched each other
the glowing circles of lamplight where we lay
next to each other
panting, smiling and peering out into the darkness
I showed this poem to another friend, and right away she plotted her own sex life with her husband:
Here is my version:
Have a romantic, star-filled day!
